Yackandandah Community Garden (next to Yackandandah Swimming Pool)

Yackandandah Community Centre (YCEN) is embarking on a very exciting project for the town - the establishment of a community garden.

This garden is being developed by the Yackandandah Community Education Network in partnership with Sustainable Gardening Australia (SGA).

The garden is being made possible through funding provided by the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust Bushfire Grants Fund. The fund was established in response to the 2009 Victorian bushfires and aims to assist in the

restoration of community life in rural townships affected by the fires.

The community garden will have a strong focus on community, education & sustainability.

The Yackandandah Community Garden Working Group welcomes all members of the town and district in the development of this garden.

This project is supported by Indigo Shire, funded by the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust and project managed by Sustainable Gardening Australia .

Monthly Food Swaps are held on Saturday mornings at the garden.
