Previously known as Apply first aid or Senior first aid.

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. These skills and knowledge may be applied in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings

There are no prerequisites.

What do I need to bring to the class?

Participants will need to bring a writing pad and pen as well as current photo identification. (e.g: Current drivers’ Licence, Passport)

How will I be assessed?

Participants will be assessed by undertaking a practical assessment, demonstrating CPR techniques on first aid dummies, as well as a theory component on-line to assess essential knowledge.

Enrolments being taken now for Full course or Refresher for students needing to update. Current industry standards require that this course is to updated every 3 years to remain current.
